Ameren Missouri Lambert Community Solar Center Now Operational

St. Louis Lambert International Airport

The Ameren Missouri Lambert Community Solar Center, located on land owned by St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL), is now fully operational and providing solar power to customers.

The Ameren Missouri Community Solar Program, which is owned and maintained by Ameren Missouri, was launched in 2018, has proved to be extremely popular. Customers can utilize solar power without having to install or maintain solar panels on their property, allowing access to renewable energy for many customer who would otherwise not be eligible. The program sold out in 55 days and the wait list continues to grow.

โ€œWe are pleased to be part of Ameren Missouriโ€™s efforts to provide more solar energy to the region,โ€ said Airport Director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge. โ€œThis partnership is just one of the ways STL is able to use land protected under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations while also allowing Ameren Missouri customers to limit their ecological footprint, something STL is committed to as well.โ€
