The Black Girl Health Foundation in partnership with St. Louis Public Library, and NNLM All of us Research Program invites you to join us for this awesome event. We will explore a wide range of topics, from yoga to how chiropractic care benefits mental health. This series of virtual workshops is set to air on Facebook on February 12, 2022. This event is FREE to access. Mayor Jones and Comptroller Greene to kickoff this event!
Featured Workshops
Bending Towards Bliss (Yoga)— a yoga session that focuses on healing naturally through an interactive exercise. “Power Through Stress”—a fitness session that focuses on using body movement to reduce stress and improve strength and flexibility. We will also share critical information about the benefits of using fitness to improve mental health.
Finding Our Place— a panel discussion on maintaining mental health while adjusting to life on campus after returning to the new normal. The impact that it has had on campus life, as well as academics. Topics to include diversity, stress, stress management, and career outcomes.
Body, Mind & Spine: Chiropractic Care & Mental Health-a workshop on the benefits of chiropractic care and its impact on mental health.
Living Well-- In the wake of gun violence in schools, this workshop on promoting social harmony within our homes, while battling external stressors.
Breaking Through to Breastfeeding-- offers practical tips on making breastfeeding easier and benefits such as, these benefits include improved mood and stress levels in the mother, lower risk of postpartum depression, enhanced social emotional development in the child, stronger mother-child bonding and more.
