The crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on northbound I-55.

The pedestrian was hit by a second vehicle, which stayed at the scene.

The wrong-way driver died in the crash. Another driver suffered moderate injuries.

The motorcyclist was allegedly inattentive and crashed into the back of a pickup truck that was slowing down, according to MSHP.

The shooting happened before 2:30 a.m., near N 9th and Tyler Streets, according to a social media post from SLMPD.

"A deceased dog, believed to belong to the victim, was also located nearby," police said.
