A group of people in a silver vehicle opened fire at second group of people who were in a parking lot in the 1100 block of N Compton. The second group returned fire.
A driver was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 4, just north of Old State Route 4, when he crossed the center line and struck a northbound car head-on.
