Roughly 1,500 child care providers in Missouri depend on state reimbursements to keep their doors open. For months, IT issues have delayed those payments.

The improvements to be funded by the grant are unrelated to and predate the sinkhole that swallowed part of a soccer field at Gordon Moore Park in June.

Residents can submit their designs online or by mail through Oct. 18.
