A company that produces alcoholic coffee drinks filed a lawsuit yesterday in federal court seeking more than $20 million in damages from the Missouri winery that canned its beverages. New details have emerged in a lawsuit filed in federal court earlier this month against local attorney Albert Watkins. Former client Paul Henreid, a graduate of Washington University’s School of Law is suing Watkins for malpractice and negligence. A clip from comedian Dustin Nickerson is making the rounds lately, and we don’t like it one bit. In the clip (above) from the Helium Comedy Club (1151 St. Louis Galleria Street, heliumcomedy.com) in January, Nickerson says he went to the Gateway Arch, and it was “fine.” He also says that the elevator was pretty terrifying. The closure of Llywelyn's Pub in Soulard appears to be permanent. Commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield has listed the 7800-plus-square foot-space Llywelyn's used to occupy at 1732 South 9th Street as for sale. The Soulard pub has been closed for business as of late, but its official Facebook page lists the closure as temporary.
Sauce Magazine is saying goodbye to print — and doubling down on digital. Publisher Allyson Mace announced Friday that the magazine's March issue would be its last. "Starting April 1, we'll no longer distribute a printed copy of Sauce Magazine," she wrote.
