The largest fundraiser for the Humane Society of Missouri’s animal cruelty task force, the annual event has a new home, where visitors can participate in a 5K race, 1-mile walk, and all kinds of animal-inspired shenanigans.
It offers a range of services like open play (either on a drop-in or membership package basis); care services for children with special needs; a wide range of classes, camps, and field trips; and even birthday parties.
The company, which is led by Wash. U. grad Luke Saunders, is hoping to have its healthy food vending machines available in 50 locations in the St. Louis region by the end of the year.
The new $40 million, 2.8-acre Henry A. Jubel Foundation Destination Discovery replaces Emerson Dinoroarus and the old Children’s Zoo. It is scheduled to open sometime in 2026.
For the “Glass in the Garden” menu, available through October 15, cocktail pros Tim Wiggins and Kyle Mathis were influenced by the Chihuly exhibit at the Missouri Botanical Garden, among other places to see colorful blown glass.
Co-owners Tyler Ottwein and Casey Hinman serve up wagyu beef burgers and an extensive beer selection in the former Recess Space, where Sneaky's first earned a following with a food truck.
