Federal judges in Kansas and Missouri on Monday blocked the full implementation of a student-loan forgiveness program proposed by the Biden administration that was set to launch July 1. A constellation of political action committees tied to a Jefferson City lobbyist raked in $530,000 in contributions this month from a pair of companies. MoDOT comes to agreement with contractor on I-55 damage, bridge work now expected until 2025

The Missouri Department of Transportation and a contractor working on a bridge project on Interstate 55 have come to an agreement on how to fix damage to a bridge first reported late last year. MoDOT and KCI Construction announced the formal agreement on Monday. Under the agreement, KCI will replace the girders and the bearings on the Union Pacific Railroad bridge, just south of Loughborough Avenue.
