Plans for redeveloped Piasa Park and visitor center underway in Alton

The Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau presented plans for a brand new Piasa Park redevelopment Tuesday afternoon at Alton City Hall. A $44 million redevelopment project of the historic Broadview Hotel broke ground in downtown East St. Louis on Tuesday. It's the largest project in Metro East town since the Casino Queen in 1993. Judge gives Gardner 11 days to respond to latest allegations against her

The judge overseeing Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey's effort to remove St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner from office has given the city's top prosecutor 11 more days to respond to the latest allegations against her. Judge John Torbitzky gave Gardner until April 11 to respond to the 121-page amended petition Bailey filed against her March 21. Originally, the judge gave her until March 31 to respond.
