100 firefighters battle fire at vacant warehouse near riverfront in St. Louis

St. Louis firefighters on Tuesday night were on the scene of a large fire at a vacant warehouse near the Mississippi River, just north of the Gateway Arch. The St. Louis Fire Department said the fire was at a warehouse near the intersection of North First Street and O'Fallon Street in the Near North Riverfront neighborhood. A former Wildwood mayor died Saturday after falling off his bike. St. Louis County police responded to a sick call just after 10 a.m. Saturday near Melrose Road and Highway T in Wildwood. When officers arrived they found paramedics treating 65-year-old David Glaser for a head injury that occurred as a result of falling off his bicycle.
