City of St. Louis Activates Code Blue for Thanksgiving Holiday with Emergency Shelter Beds Available, Plans to Prepare Streets for Winter Weather.

About 150 emergency shelter beds, in addition to 400 year-round shelter beds, will be available from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. through Nov. 29.

The Street Department has activated its snow plan protocol to pretreat the City’s streets on Friday morning. Freezing temperatures are expected to hit St. Louis tonight with wind chill below 25°F through the next several days, and snow is expected Friday and Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
