For 2025, the Black History Month theme of "African Americans and Labor" explores the contributions of Black people across all forms of labor, including private industry, the government, and unpaid community work such as ccommunity activism.
Join us on Saturday, February 22nd at 10 am for a presentation, "Ms. Lisa Brooks: Daring Innovator in the Military, Nursing, and Faith," a discussion of local leadership from St. Louis. Ms. Brooks will share her inspiring story and offer advice for audience members, seeking to develop their leadership skills. Members of the audience will have time to ask questions of the speaker following the presentations. Light refreshments will be served.
