The National Weather Service in St. Louis issued a Flood Advisory for the City of St. Louis until 8:45 PM today (6/4/2025).
- What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding is possible in low-lying and poor drainage areas, and water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. In particular, portions of Deer Creek in St. Louis County have risen above flood stage.
- Additional Details: At 5:46 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Precautionary/Preparedness Actions: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
