Flood Warning issued April 4 at 8:55PM CDT until April 5 at 3:00AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO

* WHAT...Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following counties,
Bond, northwestern Fayette, northeastern Greene, eastern Jersey,
Macoupin, Madison and Montgomery and east central Missouri,
including the following independent city, northeastern Saint Louis
City.

* WHEN...Until 300 AM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect
many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several
hours for all the water from these storms to work through local
drainage systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 855 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.
Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
St. Louis, Granite City, Alton, Collinsville, Edwardsville,
Godfrey, Glen Carbon, Wood River, Highland, Troy, Bethalto,
Maryville, Vandalia, Greenville, Litchfield, Hillsboro,
Carlinville, Pontoon Beach, Staunton and Madison.
