The Juneteenth Celebration will be a joint effort between the Griot Museum of Black History and the St. Louis Place Community Association. Fun for all ages! The museum will be open during it's regular hours of 10am-5pm but we will also be having a street fair from 11am-5:30pm. We will be obtaining a permit to close both St. Louis Ave and 25th Street so we'll have room for booths, vendors, food trucks, entertainment, arts and crafts, etc. We will have speakers and storytellers as well as musical performers and dancers. We will put up a stage off of 25th street. We will have portable toilets and handwashing stations outside. After all of our events are finished here at the museum, there will be a procession at 5:30pm down St. Louis Ave to St. Louis Place Park for their annual Whitaker music festival/concert.
