Operation Shower's Our Favorite Things Fundraiser

Actress and longtime Operation Shower supporter Melissa Joan Hart will serve as the host and emcee of Operation Shower’s Our Favorite Things presented by Royal Banks of Missouri: a festive holiday brunch and charity auction benefiting military families. Tickets are on sale now at www.operationshower.org/events/OFT25 for the event, taking place on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Andre’s at The Palladium in downtown St. Louis (1400 Park Place.)
In addition to a delicious seated brunch and an exciting auction, the event will feature live entertainment; a curated shopping experience; raffles; inspirational speakers, including military families; and more. A highlight of the event will be the presentation of Operation Shower’s Compassionate Hearts Award to two organizations whose unwavering support has helped make a significant impact on military families: the Blues Better Halves and Royal Banks of Missouri. Proceeds from the event will support Operation Shower’s mission to deliver joyful group baby showers to military moms-to-be whose spouses or partners are deployed or who are active duty themselves, to ease the financial and mental health challenges of deployment and separation. Hart, a passionate advocate for family-focused charitable causes, has made a personal impact on America’s heroes by hosting several Operation Shower military baby showers.
Military families serve alongside their uniformed loved ones in profound, often unseen ways; and few experiences highlight that sacrifice more than navigating pregnancy while on active duty or when a spouse or partner is deployed. To help ease the unique challenges faced by military moms-to-be, St. Louis-based Operation Shower delivers joyful group baby showers in communities nationwide – providing these remarkable hidden heroes with not only many of the costly tangible items needed for the babies and mothers, but also the priceless opportunity to forge lifelong connections with other expectant military women that strengthen resilience, enhance coping skills, improve mental health and facilitate vital practical support.
Since 2007, Operation Shower has honored nearly 10,000 moms and moms-to-be during exquisitely designed baby showers conducted on military bases and other locations nationwide – including an annual shower each fall in St. Louis. Every creatively themed shower for groups of 20 to 40 moms features a catered meal, traditional shower activities with prizes, and the distribution of Operation Shower’s signature Shower-In-A-Box: a curated box for every mom filled with high-quality gifts and safety items for the moms and babies.
