This Valentine’s Day, skip the standard steakhouse and join the Fork in the Road Foundation for an evening that nourishes both the heart and the palate. We’re gathering at Grace United Methodist Church for a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and the incredible culinary talents of our refugee chefs.
Whether you’re bringing a partner, a friend, or your favorite foodie, you’ll be treated to a feast that bridges the distance between St. Louis and the Mediterranean.
?? The Menu
Prepare your senses for a journey through rich spices, crispy textures, and unexpected sweetness.
Kabsa Rice with Chicken: Fragrant Basmati rice infused with Mediterranean spices, sautéed aromatics, and perfectly grilled chicken.
Kibbeh: A savory masterpiece of bulgur and beef stuffed with walnuts and pine nuts, deep-fried to golden perfection.
Beets Mutabal: A vibrant, earthy dip of roasted beets, creamy yogurt, and tahini—as beautiful to look at as it is to eat.
Fattoush Salad: A bright, zesty crunch of fresh greens, radish, and herbs, topped with signature fried pita.
?? The Grand Finale
We’re ending the night with a viral twist on tradition:
Dubai Chocolate Baklava: A decadent fusion of phyllo and konafah dough, pistachio paste, almond chocolate, and a hint of cardamom.
Zainab Fingers: Delicate semolina dough scented with rose water and vanilla, soaked in syrup and dusted with coconut.
Why attend? Every ticket supports the Fork in the Road Foundation’s mission to empower refugee chefs as they build their new lives in St. Louis. Come for the Dubai Chocolate, stay for the community.
