For too long, this talented contralto hesitated to share her vocal gift with the world as a stage act. A natural at creating the most beautiful harmonic sounds, she spent years teaching church choirs, children’s choirs, postal choirs, small ensembles, and even her children a long list of gospel and secular songs in three- and four-part harmony. And she did it all with mainly one instrument… her VOICE!
Although she fell in love with performing watching her dad, who was a member of a popular gospel group in the 60’s, it was the soulful sounds of Aretha Franklin’s Dr. Feelgood, the Marvelettes’ The Hunter Gets Captured by the Game, the Temptation’s The Way You Do the Things You Do, or that serious funk in Jean Knight’s Mr. Big Stuff where SIMPLY P.A.M. found her niche.
Along with her remarkably gifted daughters, Jaymi and Joii, this trio likes to dabble in several genres be it Jazz, R&B/Funk, Classic Standards, Neo-Soul and yes, Gospel!
“FINALLY” these St. Louis natives are center stage and giving it to you the only way SIMPLY P.A.M. knows how… humorously and authentically.
THIS ONE’S FOR YOU, MA!
