stLouISTNeighbors in Tower Grove South are hosting a community blood drive with ImpactLife, the nonprofit blood center that supplies hospitals across the region. Blood donated at this drive stays local, usually going to St. Louis hospitals first. The goal is 32 donors. Please consider donating at this time of year when blood stocks are low.
The drive takes place on Veterans Day in the Main Hall at Power Creative, which is providing the space free of charge.
Who can donate: anyone 17 or older (16 with a parental consent form) who weighs at least 110 lb. There is no upper age limit for healthy donors who aren't taking medications that prevent donation. Tattoos, piercings, diabetes, everyday medications and recent dental work do not automatically disqualify a donor.
