St. Louis, MO - On June 11, the annual St. Louis Jaycees Soap Box Derby, presented by World Wide Technology Raceway Gives, will take over Macklind Avenue for a day of adrenaline-fueled fun.
The event, which has been a beloved tradition in the community for over 70 years, brings together participants and spectators for a thrilling race down the street.
The Soap Box Derby race will feature cars built from kits and raced by kids age 7-18 years old.
Participants will have the chance to show off their need for speed as they compete for the coveted title of Champion and to advance to Nationals in Akron, OH.
The race will take place on Macklind Avenue and will be open to the public, free of charge.
Spectators are welcome to come and cheer on the racers as they speed down the track and also admire vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles in the Shaw Elementary School parking lot.
There will be food vendors and activities for kids, making it a fun-filled day for the whole family!
