Stand Tall @ St. Philip’s is a free domestic violence awareness and empowerment event for survivors, families, friends, and community members. The event provides information and resources designed to improve lives, promote safety, and help reduce family conflict that can contribute to mental and physical harm.
The program will connect attendees with community professionals and organizations offering information on safety planning, housing resources, crime victim services, and other assistance. Featured participants include host Bonita Cornute, Pastor Richard Ashley, Detective Brittnee Sanders of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department DART Team, Emily Daniels, Community Engagement Manager with ALIVE, Crime Victims Center, and community resource providers.
The goal of Stand Tall is to help survivors and families address domestic abuse openly, reduce the stigma surrounding domestic violence, and connect people with trusted resources.
