Walter Parks and The Unlawful Assembly

This inspiring and rare performance welcomes back vocalist Ada Dyer, who’s on a very short pause from touring worldwide with Bruce Springsteen and The E-Street Band. Swamp blues guitarist Walter Parks and drum groove-master Steven Williams unite as The Unlawful Assembly to take a modern look at historic southern U.S. spirituals, hollers, reels and work songs all of which are prefaced with relevant stories. Parks was the longtime sideman to Woodstock legend Richie Havens. Williams played with Sade and Digable Planets. This performance will also include trombonist Andrae Murchison.
