St. Louis man Chavis Roberts is facing murder charges for allegedly shooting and killing an individual who was trying to stop Roberts from shooting someone else on Tuesday. The alleged murder happened in the Fox Park neighborhood. According to the police probable cause statement, Roberts, 42, entered a residence on Minnesota Avenue, pointed a pistol at a 34-year-old living there and said that he had been sent there to kill him.

Torn Mixology represents the final project for Kranzberg Arts Foundation visual artist in residence Felia Davenport, associate professor of communication and media at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The display features clothing that “explores the journey of identifying as a multi-racial female.” The five pieces correspond to different phases of life, from childhood through adulthood.
States that have legalized adult-use marijuana have a significant reduction pharmacy-based codeine prescriptions a new study shows. The study was published January 19 in the Journal of Health Economics. Using data from the federal Drug Enforcement Administration which tracks controlled substances across the U.S., the study looked at 11 states that had legalized adult-use cannabis between 2010 and 2019.
The 22nd Judicial Circuit Court and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department have different stories about why a group of teenagers involved in a gunfight Saturday night were released to their parents. The gunfight took place near the City Foundry in Midtown and involved one suspect leaning out of a car and firing a rifle at police. The initial incident report from the SLMPD says that after the incident, "The Juvenile Court was contacted and advised officers to release the juveniles taken into custody to their parents."

On his second day at work in Washington, D.C., Jacob Long found himself accompanying his boss, U.S. Representative Ritchie Torres (D-New York), to the office of a fellow congressman who has quickly become an infamous household name: George Santos.
