On the second day of his jury trial, Arthur Pressley, better known as rapper 30 Deep Grimeyy, pleaded guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Previously free on bond, Pressley was taken into custody following the plea. The gun possession charge stemmed from a traffic stop that occurred January 5, 2021.

Recently recovered security camera footage has revealed astonishing insight into the cause of the fire that destroyed Vin De Set on September 19. According to owner Paul Hamilton, video footage from the restaurant's DVR shows three patrons disposing of cigarettes into a hanging flower basket in the part of the building, starting the fire at approximately 2:30 p.m. on September 18. The basket soon began to smolder, eventually escalating into an all-out blaze that engulfed the restaurant in the early morning hours of the following day, roughly 13 hours later. The longstanding French restaurant — a brunch favorite for its sizable second-story rooftop patio and views of the city — has been closed ever since.
The shooter who stormed Central Visual and Performing Arts High School on Monday had over 600 rounds of ammunition and wrote in a manifesto that his life was “a perfect storm for a mass shooting.” St. Louis Police Interim Police Commissioner Mike Sack read briefly from the so-called manifesto at a press briefing Tuesday and showed photos of the weapon used by the 19-year-old, who police say is responsible for yesterday's school shooting in south St. Louis. Sack said that the manifesto was recovered from Harris' car.
After a teacher and student were shot to death yesterday at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School, the White House has reinvigorated its call for an assault weapons ban. At a press conference on Monday afternoon, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre began her opening statement with a call for new action. “Every day that the Senate fails to send [an] assault weapons ban to the President’s desk or waits to take another — other common-sense actions — is a day too late for our families and communities impacted by gun violence,” Jean-Pierre said.
The FBI is aiding St. Louis police in investigating yesterday's shooting at Central Visual and Performing Arts Academy, which left three people, including the shooter, dead. The FBI is asking for any pictures or videos of the attack and has created a portal for those materials to be uploaded to. David Glaser, a former mayor of Wildwood, died after an apparent accidental cycling fall over the weekend. On Saturday, police responded to a sick call at Melrose Road and Highway T in Wildwood and discovered paramedics treating the unconscious Glaser, 65, of St. Louis for a head injury resulting from a bicycling fall. He was transported to a nearby hospital for further care, according to a statement from the St. Louis County Police Department.
