Report: Boeing board to settle shareholder suit over 737 MAX
Current and former members of the board of directors at the Boeing Co. appear poised to settle a lawsuit filed by company shareholders related to the 737 MAX.
According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, those board members will pay $225 million — paid out by their insurers — and, some sources told the publication, Boeing (NYSE: BA) has also agreed to hire an internal ombudsman and will add a board member with aviation experience.
The company declined to comment.
