Nearly two months after DeClue was captured on video delivering a brutal beating that left another teen hospitalized, the 15-year-old sat next to her attorney in the small courtroom and held her hands before her face, forehead resting against her fingertips as if in prayer. “The motion is denied,” St. Louis County Circuit Court Judge Jason Dodson ruled.

Freedom of the Press Foundation (FPF) Director of Advocacy Seth Stern wrote for The Intercept about an alarming bill that would allow the secretary of the treasury to unilaterally revoke the tax-exempt status of nonprofit organizations, including nonprofit news outlets, by deeming them supporters of terrorism.

An arrest has been made in connection with a missing person’s investigation from 2021. Thomas E. “Tedo” Gamble, 21, formerly of Potosi, Missouri, has been arrested in connection to the disappearance of 19-year-old John Paul Parton, of High Ridge, Missouri. Gamble has been charged with murder, tampering with evidence, and disposing of a corpse.
