Flood Advisory issued August 12 at 5:28PM CDT until August 12 at 6:30PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Illinois, including the following
counties, southwestern Madison and northwestern Saint Clair and
east central Missouri, including the following counties and
independent city, east central Saint Charles, eastern Saint Louis
and eastern eastern Saint Louis City.

* WHEN...Until 630 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Lingering minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage
areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 528 PM CDT, Earlier heavy rainfall resulted in flooding,
but heavy rain has ended and floodwaters have begun to
recede. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Lingering
minor flooding may persist in a few areas with poor drainage.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
St. Louis, Granite City, Alton, East St. Louis, Edwardsville,
Cahokia, Glen Carbon, Bellefontaine Neighbors, Wood River,
Bethalto, Pontoon Beach, Centreville, Washington Park,
Madison, Riverview, Venice, Spanish Lake, Cahokia Parks
Airport, East Alton and Fairmont City.
- This includes the following State Parks...
Scott Joplin Historic Site, Confluence State Park and
Horseshoe Lake State Park.
