Senate candidate Lucas Kunce announced today he raised $1.1 million in the first three months of the year, a haul his campaign says is a record for a candidate challenging an incumbent senator in Missouri. According to a statement put out by the Kunce campaign, the money raised is approximately four times the amount raised by Josh Hawley in the last quarter of 2022, the most recent quarter for which Hawley fundraising data is available. Kunce's campaign said that 97 percent of its donors in the last three months gave less than $200 and the average was $34.

A De Soto man is facing a total of 40 felonies stemming from burglaries he allegedly committed at three separate self-storage facilities in St. Louis city over the last two years. As of Friday, Matthew Wayne Pelich, 45, is facing a mix of property damage, stealing and burglary charges. Among the items Pelich allegedly stole from the storage units were designer clothes, jewelry, a microwave oven, 36 bottles of Old Fitzgerald Bonded Bourbon and a pair of weed eaters, according to the police probable cause statement.

Thirty-three years ago, serial murderer Gary Muehlberg discarded 18-year-old Robyn Mihan’s dead body along a stretch of rural Highway E in Lincoln County. Muehlberg abducted Mihan from the Southside Stroll in St. Louis on Thursday, March 22, 1990, before murdering her in his home in Bel-Ridge. That Monday, he tied her lifeless body between two mattresses and in the early morning hours left her along the roadside to be found by a commuter.
