Jordan Kyrou scored his 30th goal of the season, and Robert Thomas had three assists to help the St. Louis Blues beat the Nashville Predators 4-1 on Sunday night for their sixth straight win. Brayden Schenn, Alexandre Texier and Justin Faulk also scored, and Jordan Binnington made 29 saves for the Blues. Filip Forsberg scored, and Justus Annunen made 14 saves for Nashville, which has lost five of its last six games.

Koby Brea matched a career high with 23 points and Kentucky beat Illinois 84-75 on Sunday to advance beyond the NCAA Tournament’s opening weekend for the first time since they reached the Elite Eight in 2019. Kentucky, the No. 3 seed in the Midwest Region, faces No. 2 seed and Southeastern Conference rival Tennessee on Friday in Indianapolis.

SLMPD state control bill would also hold sheriff to higher standards

The bill for the state to take control of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department continues moving along, as the Senate approved of the legislation Monday and it will go under one more vote in the House before being put on Kehoe's desk. But one extra line in the bill would force the sheriff to have additional training before taking office.

WATERLOO, Ill. –Cardinals legend Adam Wainwright is bringing his county music talents to Waterloo Saturday for two live performances with country artist Craig Campbell. They’ll be taking the stage at Waterloo High School. Doors open for the first show at 2 p.m. Music starts at 3 p.m. The second show opens at 6:30 p.m.
