Illinois State Police are investigating a deadly shooting in East St. Louis at a restaurant on State Street. Police said the shooting sent two people to the hospital.

The case became cold and was re-examined again by Calumet City police in Dec. 2022. In the last 16 months, the department said they located and re-interviewed witnesses and analyzed evidence which identified James Barbier as a suspect.
