US Supreme Court reject's Spire's challenge of pipeline ruling

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday denied Spire Inc.'s appeal of a lower court's decision that the natural gas utility's Spire STL pipeline should have never been operating in the first place. The high court declined to hear the appeal without comment, according to the Associated Press. In 2018, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission granted approval for the pipeline, which went fully into operation in 2019.
