Niemeyer is also a scholar-athlete. “He has done very well in the classroom over the years that is what we want we are trying to raise expectations on the fields and in the classroom. He is a good example of what we want to see,” East Alton-Wood River High School Athletic Director Mike Beatty said. “This was a big deal for us here because he is such an outstanding wrestler and student. This is our first big signing like this in a while because of COVID where we could be normal.
