Lane Closures Announced On Hawthorne Street In Madison County

SOUTH ROXANA - The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that both lanes of Hawthorne Street from Lewis and Clark Boulevard (Illinois 3) to east of Wanda Road in Madison County will require intermittent daytime lane closures beginning, weather permitting, on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024. The lane closures are necessary for the evaluation of pavement conditions. Drivers are urged to reduce speed, be alert for changing conditions, obey all signage and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
