Deputy director of public safety in St. Louis resigns
A high-ranking member of St. Louis’ Public Safety Division has submitted her resignation to the city’s personnel division, a move that follows a series of social media posts criticizing the mayor’s administration and police department she once served.
Heather Taylor is stepping down from her role as the deputy director of public safety. Mayor Tishaura Jones appointed her to the role in 2021 following Taylor’s retirement from the city’s police department as a sergeant in the homicide division.
