Tornado-damaged libraries in St. Louis to reopen with upgrades

Two neighborhood libraries in St. Louis are preparing to reopen in late May, nearly one year after a destructive tornado caused significant structural damage to the buildings. The Julia Davis and Cabanne branch libraries have been closed for extensive repairs since the storm hit on May 16.

Belleville family seeks answers in hit-and-run death investigation

The body of Aaron Lawary, 45, was found in a Belleville creek underneath an overpass near Highway 15 and South Illinois Street on February 12.  The Belleville Police Department reports that an autopsy’s preliminary findings indicate Lawary’s injuries were consistent with being struck by a motor vehicle.
