School of Engineering Alumnus Recognized by Pumps & Systems Magazine
 EDWARDSVILLE – Chris Couch received his mechanical engineering degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2019 and since then has seen great success in his career in the pumping industry. His hard work has not gone unnoticed as he was named to the “10 Pump Professionals to Watch” list by Pumps & Systems magazine. “It is a great honor to receive this recognition from Pumps & Systems magazine,” said Couch. “I am eager to continue to grow and make an impact in this industry since it is critical to society especially with its energy efficiency and sustainability.” Couch works for Nidec Motor Corporation in St. Louis as a market manager. After graduating from SIUE, Couch started with the company as an application engineer and is now transitioning to the business development side of the business.  There are 385 In-N-Out locations in the United States, but not one of them exists east of Texas… yet. Soon the In-N-Out Burger chain will be headed east, and our neighbors in Tennessee are going to get the first one built outside of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Texas or Utah. In-N-Out is starting the process of opening in Franklin, Tennessee, which is 25 miles south of Nashville and less than a five-hour drive from St. Louis.

  Steve's Hot Dogs is launching a ghost kitchen concept today — with five different kinds of grilled cheese sandwiches for carryout or delivery. Described as an "elevated grilled cheese sandwich on bakery fresh bread," the new concept, Steve's Meltdown, will not have any in-person dining. "Delivery is here to stay — and it's a growing segment of our business," Danni Eickenhorst, co-founder of Steve's Hot Dog's, said in a statement.
