See STL: Benton Park

Named after St. Louis’s second-oldest park, the Benton Park neighborhood is filled with dreamy 19th-century architecture and steeped in history. With an ambitious preservation effort currently underway, it’s also a neighborhood on the cusp of exciting change. Sites include a former city cemetery that’s now a park, a recently discovered cave that once housed a beer garden, and one of St. Louis’s most storied homes.
