stLouISTYou are invited to a Welcome Neighbor STL drive-thru supper club event to support refugee families recently resettled in St. Louis on Saturday, October 15th from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm.
Drive-Thru events help rebuild lives and rebuild hope for our refugee cooks as they share their talents and culture. Refugee cooks and volunteers will prepare your meal and deliver a 6-course Syrian lunch directly to your car with a wide smile and heartfelt thank you.

These meals present an opportunity for immigrant families to share knowledge and skills unique to them. It is also an opportunity for us to get a glimpse into their culture. These fundraising efforts can set them on a path of greater independence and confidence in their lives here in in the USA.
Syrian Drive-Thru Menu:
Hummus: A dip made of chickpeas, garlic, lemon, tahini, and olive oil. Served with pita bread.
Yalanji: Grape leaves stuffed with rice, Mediterranean spices, and lemon juice.
Kibbeh: A is deep fried bulgur stuffed with beef, pine nuts a little onion and Mediterranean spices.
Tabouleh: A finely chopped salad made with parsley, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and bulgur. Mixed with lemon juice and olive oil.
Chicken Mandi: Spiced chicken roasted in the oven and served with steamed rice with mandi spices, salt and oil.
Basboussa: A cake made of semolina, Coconut, Sugar, Milk and Ghee. Soaked in sweet syrup.
