To You, I Go

To You, I Go (2023) is Jessica Page’s visual love letter to St. Louis.

Although St. Louis is rarely romanticized, Page aims to showcase the softest purest side of her surroundings. After all, the beauty seen and unseen in St. Louis is what makes it special.

“In my early 20s, I can recall venturing away from my home in North County to more inclusive and vibrant areas of the city,” Page says. “[That’s when I realized that] there is so much more to this city than I had known growing up in the county. A decade later, I’ve met many people in the creative community who’ve inspired me and supported my budding photography career. I want to honor my inspirations in my first solo exhibition.

“Alongside portraits, I want viewers of the love letter to experience a visual break in the form of serene naturescapes,” Page continues. “This serves as a reminder to give yourself permission to find beauty, even when it doesn’t come to you. Stay safe and be loved, St. Louis.”
