Missouri governor bans state funding for diversity programs

Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe on Tuesday signed an executive order targeting state funding of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. The executive order bars state agencies from using public funds for positions, policies, or procedures that encourage greater diversity throughout the state. Agencies are also prohibited from considering factors relating to equity and inclusion while making hiring decisions.
