Attorney General Raoul Files Lawsuit Against Voice Service Provider For Illegal Robocalls

CHICAGO – Attorney General Kwame Raoul today filed a lawsuit , alongside 48 attorneys general, against Avid Telecom, its owner Michael Lansky and vice-president Stacey S. Reeves, for alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Telemarketing Sales Rule and other federal and state telemarketing and consumer laws. Avid Telecom allegedly initiated, facilitated, and transmitted more than 7.5 billion illegal robocalls to millions of people on the National Do Not Call Registry. Between December 2018 and January 2023, more than 290 million of those calls were to Illinois residents. Avid Telecom is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service provider that sells data, phone numbers and dialing software to help its customers make mass robocalls. Ameren Missouri's Live Cam Provides Up-Close Look At Peregrine Falcons' Lives

ST. LOUIS (May 23, 2023) — After weeks of anticipation, viewers watched live as Peregrine falcon chicks emerged from their eggs. For the 11th year, Ameren Missouri’s Falcon Cam has given people a unique glimpse into nature via a live feed, this year from a nesting box in Franklin County, where a pair of Peregrine falcons nest and raise their chicks each spring. "The excitement we feel when seeing the fluffy new chicks for the first time never gets old," said Julianne Randazzo , environmental scientist at Ameren Missouri. “We’re glad we can provide this space for the falcon family to nest.
