Democrats need to back Biden more loudly on Ukraine
Why oh why? For the life of me I don’t understand why Dems aren’t falling over themselves to praise how Biden has handled things and express immense relief that he, rather than a fully compromised Trump, is leading the global response, but this delusional nonsense is what’s filling the void. https://t.co/0qBkAF2tRK — Brian Beutler (@brianbeutler) ...continue reading "Democrats need to back Biden more loudly on Ukraine"

SPRINGFIELD - The Illinois State Police cautions motorists who engage in acts that could endanger the safety of the motoring public. Illinois State Police Division of Patrol Colonel Margaret McGreal stated, “Though the Illinois State Police respects the rights of citizens to express their opinions in a lawful manner, there is great concern with any event that is designed to impede or block the normal and reasonable movement of traffic.” Colonel McGreal continued, “Traffic backups are a major contributing cause to traffic crashes which lead to property damage, personal injury, and even death. Rep. Davis Condemns Russia's Attacks, Says It Is Time For Severe Economic Consequences
I join the free world in strongly condemning Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. The Ukrainian people need our prayers, and they need our support through tough sanctions on Russia. Thugs like Vladimir Putin only respond to strength. Now is the time for severe economic consequences. Putin, his oligarch friends, and his corrupt government should feel great financial pain for their evil actions. I’m joining my Republican colleagues in supporting the Putin Accountability Act , the toughest sanctions on Russia ever proposed by Congress. The Putin Accountability Act would: Impose sanctions on Putin, his family members, his mistress, and his network of kleptocratic oligarchs Designate Russia as a State Sponsor of Terrorism Kick Russia out of the international SWIFT Code system, hampering their ability to move money around internationally Place sanctions on Russian sovereign debt in the secondary market and the Russian financial sector Immediately shut
