Godfrey Approves Shared Use Path Concept Study

GODFREY – Godfrey trustees agreed to move forward with a study to possibly build a new shared use path. At their May 19, 2026 meeting , Village Board members unanimously approved up to $9,900 for Oates Associates to perform a concept plan study for a potential shared use path near the F.E. Widman Trail. As previously reported on Riverbender.com , the proposed path would branch off from the F.E. Widman Trail at Rocky Fork Road, then run south along Boy Scout Lane before turning west

Family relives moments leading up to EF-1 tornado in northern Missouri

An EF-1 tornado with wind speeds of 86 to 110 mph touched down in Orrick, Missouri, causing damage to trees, power poles, and homes. A family in the area had to take shelter with less than five minutes' notice, but luckily suffered only minor damage to their home and car. There were no reports of injuries in the area.
