A few days ago we got a glimpse at a deposition in the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit against Fox News. It showed that primetime stars like Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson knew that conspiracy theories about ballot machines were nonsense, but didn't want to stop talking about it because it might be bad for ratings. ...continue reading "Murdoch admits that Fox News hosts touted voting conspiracy theories"
I’m not sure what’s happening inside Israel’s intelligence services, but it’s not sending the world its best when it’s done with them. For months, we’ve been covering tons of negative news generated by tech companies started up by former Israeli government employees. Most of this has been focused on NSO Group, a malware merchant with […]

What happened to Janae Edmundson was not an accident. Rather, downtown residents write, it was the inevitable result of a conspiracy of silence, indifference and inaction regarding the deteriorating condition of the neighborhood. They offer "a sensible roadmap" to prevent such a tragedy from happening again.
Since Janae Edmondson's parents told her she no longer has her legs, the 17-year-old standout volleyball and basketball star has asked them if they will still love her.
Her mother told her: "Of course I will. I told her, 'If I cut all my hair off, would you still love me? This is no different.'"

JERSEYVILLE/DELHI - Steve’s Old Cabin BBQ recently marked its 4-month anniversary, and the restaurant has been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback so far. Steve Helfer, co-founder and co-owner along with his wife Laurie, described it as a family-owned and family-oriented barbecue restaurant without any gimmicks or distractions - just high-quality food. “We don’t have a lot of TV, a lot of media going on in the building to distract people,” Steve said. “It used to be a bar - we don’t serve alcohol, so it’s very family-oriented. We don’t have the slot machines that everybody has, so people feel comfortable bringing their families, even their kids. “The environment, I think, is a big thing - people get to come and sit down with their friends and family and actually interact with each other and have a nice meal, and just enjoy each other’s company rather than have a lot of the distractions you have a lot of other places.”
