ST. LOUIS – Today, the City of St. Louis is reminding residents of upcoming Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) opportunities in the St. Louis region, including in the City of St. Louis. Stood up by the State of Missouri, these are one-stop locations for flood survivors that provide trained experts in areas like housing, insurance, food stamp replacement, mental health counseling, and other critical areas of need. “The City of St. Louis is in constant contact with our partners at every level of government to help provide relief to our residents,” said Mayor Tishaura O. Jones. “St. Louisans impacted by flooding should visit any of the available MARC locations to get connected to legal services, insurance information, and more.” The City of St. Louis MARC will be held at Friendly Temple Church at 5515 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. MARYVILLE – Motorists looking for a simple, accessible way to renew driver’s licenses and purchase vehicle stickers are invited to attend a free mobile unit event at the Wood River Police Department, sponsored by State Senator Kris Tharp in partnership with the Illinois secretary of state. “The mobile unit offers a more convenient option for residents to receive necessary services without waiting for long periods of time at a driver services facility,” said Tharp (D-Bethalto). “I encourage anyone in need of an easy way to renew and obtain IDs and license plates to attend this upcoming event.” The unit operates like a DMV office and offers driver’s license renewals, identification cards and license plate stickers. Tharp reminds residents that REAL ID services will not be available at the mobile unit, and residents aged 75 and over must visit a permanent facility for renewal services. Holly Hills Votes 'Yes' on New Special Business District

Voters packed the polls in Holly Hills to approve a new special business district on Tuesday. The district passed with nearly 61.9 percent of the vote, totaling 887 yes votes and 545 no votes, according to final, unofficial results. More than 62.6 percent of registered voters cast their ballot in the Holly Hills special election, an unprecedented amount was triple the average citywide turnout percentage.
