Panera Brands, a privately held company that includes the Panera Bread, Caribou Coffee and Einstein Bros. Bagels, said the two groups have called off the deal, announced in November 2021, “in light of unfavorable capital market conditions, including the deterioration of the market for initial public offerings over the past several months.” However, it isn't deterred from its ambition to become a publicly traded company again.
