stLouISTJuneteenth, the holiday that commemorates the abolition of slavery in the US in 1865, is one of the country’s oldest and largest celebrations. Join us for an uplifting celebration of this nationally recognized holiday. The evening will include empowering spoken word by Tracy Stanton, a presentation about the history and meaning of the Juneteenth holiday by Dr. James Tucker, and a performance by Ballet 314. The celebration will end with a live performance by members of the St. Louis Symphony IN UNISON Chorus and St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.

- 5–6:30pm | Learn more about our African American History Initiative and visit community resource tables hosted by local organizations including the St. Louis African American History & Genealogy Society.
- 6:30pm | Head downstairs to the Lee Auditorium for our celebration of Juneteenth with Dr. James Tucker, poet Tracy Stanton, the St. Louis Symphony IN UNISON Chorus and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
