Celebrate the Groove! Mo Egeston All Stars featuring: AhSa-Ti Nu with special guest DJ JMo providing the after show vibes.
A multi-disciplinary artist with work rooted in poetry, storytelling, sound engineering and activism, AhSa-Ti Nu utilizes her voice as a means of expressing soulful words in a contemporary context. AhSa-Ti Nu’s influences of #gospel, jazz, #rhythmandblues and rock continue to shape her goal as an artist: to create music that everyone can connect to emotionally and spiritually.
Taking inspiration from a variety of sources Mo E All-Stars create a unique sound around the originals, reworks and arrangements of pianist Mo Egeston. Since his days with the pioneering live house/electronic project Urban Jazz Naturals, Egeston's original music has featured influences of jazz, soul, Latin, funk and all things electronic including deep house, nujazz and drum and bass. Essentially taking familiar dance and lounge elements and using them as a starting place for organic groove based compositions.
Blue Strawberry is a music showroom and lounge in the CWE. Local and national acts take the stage. Thoughtful menu, wines and cocktails.
