The Clydesdales have been a beloved tradition in St. Louis for decades. And their debut has special significance in the city.

St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell told Washington University law students on Tuesday, "If you look at the facts, being 'tough on crime' is empty rhetoric.”

Cliff View branch, a part of the St. Charles-City County Library district, opened its doors in May after a $2.6 million renovation. The branch now occupies a space that previously housed Six North Cafe.

The iconic Tony's Restaurant and Anthony's Bar, which opened its doors in downtown St. Louis in 1946, moved to its new digs in Clayton in May 2021. The restaurant gained a reputation as one of St. Louis' best, and won numerous Michelin and Mobil awards.

The project was done in conjunction with Cardinals Care and the St. Louis Cardinals Community Fund and cost $1.2 million. The Cardinals' charitable arm provided $1.1 million of that total for the project, which was completed in February 2021.

St. Louis-based craft brewery Rockwell Beer Co. opened Rockwell Beer Garden in Francis Park in October 2021 after a $750,000 renovation.

More money would flow to charters from the state, not from St. Louis Public Schools.

A $134 million, 35-story luxury apartment tower proposed near Forest Park in the Central West End will require a series of variances and approvals from the city of St. Louis in order to be built.

GREENVILLE – The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that US 40 from 0.1 mile west of Overpass Road to 0.3 miles west of IL 127 near Greenville will be intermittently restricted to one lane beginning Tuesday, April 12, 2022, weather permitting. Work can be anticipated between 7 AM and 7 PM, Monday thru Friday, and is necessary to complete asphalt resurfacing. Work is expected to be completed by July 2022. Motorists should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to construction signage and watch for changing conditions, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment while approaching and traveling through the work zone. The contractor on this project is The Kilian Corporation of Mascoutah, Illinois.
